When you run a statistical test on a table, IBM® SPSS® Data Collection Survey Reporter can create diagnostics information that shows the p values and some of the intermediate figures used to calculate the statistics. The information is in comma-delimited format, so you can open it in Microsoft Excel and perform calculations on the data. The information varies according to the test. Here is the information for the Net difference test example :
row/cols. This is in the form n/(3-4)-(1-2), where n represents the category row (the first category row is 1, the second category row is 2, etc.) and 1, 2, 3, and 4 are the IDs of the four columns.
pval. The p value.
tval. The t value.
dof. The degrees of freedom.
se. The standard error.
sig. The significance level chosen for the test.
eb. The effective base for the column.
p1, p2, p3, p4. The proportion in columns 1, 2, 3, and 4.
r1, r2, r3, r4. The counts in columns 1, 2, 3, and 4.
w1, w2, w3, w4. The sum of weights (weighted base) for columns 1, 2, 3, and 4.
e1, e2, e3, e4. The effective base in columns 1, 2, 3, and 4.
