The Variable Preview pane provides you with a summary of the information that is available in a variable, without the need to add it to a table.
► To display the Variable Preview pane, choose
from the menu, or press Alt+9.
You can display variable previews for the following types of variable:
• categorical variables (displayed in a chart or table)
• numeric variables (displayed in a table)
• text variables (displayed in a table)
• categorical grid variables (displayed in a table)
You can generate previews for selected variables or for all variables.
